I love the Washington State Fair (known locally simply as the "Puyallup Fair"). What photographer can resist the bright colors, colorful people, and kinetic activity of a state fair? I don't get into the rides much myself, but enjoy photographing my sons and random fairgoers on them. This one's my son Daniel, enjoying a souped-up trampoline outfitted with massive bungy cords and harnesses to permit grasshopper-style jumps and tumbles. Add in Daniel's tie-dye shirt and a powder-blue sky, and it becomes a wonderfully colorful image in all kinds of ways.
