The weather on National Public Lands Day was gorgeous -- by which I mean that it was warm but not too warm for work, sunny but not too sunny to work without sunglasses. And while lower elevations were a bit dreary and even a bit wet, Sunrise looked like this: mostly clear, with wisps of cloud moving in and out around the peak. I love the detail in this image, with the deeply crevassed Emmons Glacier dominating most of this side of Mount Rainier.
