Once more: the most fun photo you can capture when shooting a softball game is one that includes both the batter and the ball. I especially love this photo because of the amount of detail it contains: the ball (with the stitches visible!), the batter if full motion (leaning forward, slight blur in the hands), the pigtails flying, the eyes intently focused on the ball, the mouth set in a hopeful expression. I don't even remember if she actually hit the ball -- but does it really matter? The beauty of the image is the potential captured in the frame of the photograph.
