This is by far the most unusual image of the photo session, and probably not exactly the image that Kimber was going for... but it works in one of those unexpectedly wonderful ways. For me, it's the unguarded expression, the slightly disheveled hair falling across the mask, the slightly contorted pose, the direct gaze with one eye lit with a catchlight, the other in shadow, that together make this a much less posed and ultimately much truer portrait than it would be otherwise.
