Photo of the day: Leslie

A few days after Christmas, I participated in a photoshoot at the South Puget Sound Photo Studio with Leslie, who was looking for some fun portraits. It was a good arrangement: she got some semi-professional images, and I got to get some experience working with the lights and a real-life person who was not a professional model! I enjoyed working with someone who has a real-life body type, too, not the classical slim-and-trim figure of a model. I'm really pleased with this image, which captures a lot of Leslie's buoyant personality. I think maybe I had the secondary light (camera-right) a bit too bright, or maybe too far in front of her, because the lighting on her face isn't as differentiated between left and right as I'd prefer. As usual, I learn something from every photoshoot, and the next one will always be even better than this one!
