Archive photo of the day: Star Tracks: Lunar eclipse

I took this photo on February 20, 2008 during a lunar eclipse, experimenting with very long time exposures. The moon was orange from the eclipse, and the stars streaked across the sky while the shutter was open, presumably for more than 16 minutes according to the EXIF data, though I don't remember for sure. I find the various colors of their tracks interesting, and wonder if it has anything to do with the stars themselves, or is a figment of the digital process. The two dotted tracks across the middle of the frame are an added bonus: these were airplanes flying by with their flashing lights.
