Archive Photo of the Day: Four baby groundsquirrels
There are moments in life when you're just grateful you had a camera with you. We spotted this in the rock retaining wall on the Cleetwood trail at Crater Lake National Park as we here hiking down to the water. I took the best photo I could from a distance, wishing I had a longer lens, but not wanting to get any closer and spook the little critters--and indeed, when I did step closer, they vanished as if they'd never been there. I may wish for a better version of the photo, but I'm grateful to have captured what I did!
