We spent a couple of days camping at Nehalem State Park, on the Oregon coast, in August with my sister and her family. It was cloudy, even drizzly, almost the entire time we were there, with the sun finally coming out on the last day of our trip. Even so, the photos from the cloudy days are better--more vivid, less contrasty--than the ones in sunlight. This is one of my favorites from the set, of David and Daniel fooling around on the beach; I love it precisely because it's not quite posed, with David moving in for the picture and Daniel reacting, in perfect independent Daniel form, to say "not so close, Big Brother!"
