I thought it would be fun to feature, as "guest photographers," the efforts of the rest of my immediate family. I was inspired to do so by this photo Kelli took of David at Drift Creek Camp this summer; it's one of my favorite pictures of the year, and it captures David's can-do spirit so well. It's a pretty good picture, too, despite the fact that I'm the only one in the family who uses a fancy SLR to take pictures with.
While we're showcasing Kelli's photos, here's one she took of me at Nehalem Bay State Park in August:
Daniel, meanwhile, has shown an interest in taking pictures now and then, and while he has his share of blurred pictures of Lego figures, he also occasionally comes up with a truly good photo--again, despite working with a very simple and basic camera. Here's my favorite from this summer:
David, by contrast, shows little interest in photography, though he'll take shots now and then to record events of interest to him. His medium is mostly cartooning--and he's very clever at it. Here's one of my favorites from the past year:
