Guest Photo of the Day: buiu
Almost all of Thiago Ramos's Flickr photos appear to be pictures he's taken of strangers on city streets, which really intrigues me. I'm much too timid to do such a thing--at least openly--though there have been many, many times when I've seen someone passing by that I would have loved to take a picture of. Some people, at some times, just wear their souls on their sleeves, and it's so compelling for a photographer, especially when it comes with the serendipity of great light. I imagine Ramos walking up to a woman like this and saying, "I'm a photographer, can I take your picture? I just need three minutes of your time," and then snapping away and moving on, with a captured fragment of light and time as a memento.
