Sometimes the most beautiful images are those you find right under your feet. That was certainly the case with this photo, of autumn leaves on the ground in a park in my home town of Eatonville, Washington. Two things make this picture for me. One is, of course, the colors: the nearly monochromatic palette, with those two yellow leaves perfectly positioned in the frame. The other is the lighting, which gives the leaves an incredible sense of three-dimensional depth.
