In early May, I had an opportunity to photograph a Mass Casualty Drill at Mount Rainier National Park: a fascinating experience. Even knowing it was a drill, the energy of the event was intense, to the point where I could taste the adrenaline in my mouth. I ran around playing photojournalist, capturing images wherever I could. This is one of my favorites, as a firefighter from Ashford helped extricate one of the "victims" from a car. I love the vivid colors contrasting with the gray of the rainy evening. I played around with this one in photoshop quite a bit to get the exposure and focus just right.
